help,help,help...what is wrong now?

Ok I have have a 96 240...the car has coils, subframe bushings and new bushings every where..It was like this when i bought it..the only thing i've done is added is rear upper control arms and a full alinement to stop rear tire wear. I noticed 2 days later a thump thump in the rear when i gas on it. a local shop drove it and said wait till it gets louder so we can pin point it. well now 6 months later im on my way to work this morning and dropping down a hill and all i hear is thump thump thump thump like a bald spot on a tire..i can feel this thump thump pretty good and it's louder than ever. now it's even doing it when im braking to stop..i've looked up poping rear end but nobody seems to have a deff answer. i jacked up the car..shook the wheels. theres no play. i spun the wheel forward and back.. the driver side rear has some play when i spin it back and fourth. I've had this car for a year and no probs till the upper rear arms got put on.

Just out of curiosity, what ended up being the issue?

And forums are kind of a hit or miss man. Don't be butthurt if no one replies. Just be thankful for the help that IS given and move past the help that isn't.

Just about anything can thump.

probably a broken band in the tire.
