HELP! headlights and electrical screwed...89 240sx ka

man ive done so much to my 240 and its so close to what i want... but a few things. if anyone has any answers please help.... 1. headlights wont go down ...motors are good, relays good, switch is good {as far as i know}when i turn the manual knobs on the motors it starts to grind like its wanting to work..i think the relay box under the air filter is shot ....any ideas????2.dash/cluster light wont work...used to ,not any more...changed bulbs,checked all fuses...no idea... any input would be greatly welcome... thanks

look for any obstruction. also, if the motor is grinding, its probly bad.

how do you know the motors are good????

i replaced them and the same thing happenes to both sets...... no obstructions

only thing I can think of is the wiring is ****ed up somewhere.

check voltage at the wires.

Also, get a service manual, itle show you what voltage your suposed to be getting.

lots of people have the headlight not going down problem, but no one has reported back how they fixed it. the online factory service manual is in my signature. there are lots of electrical diagrams showing how the headlights work, but it is complex.

would the tcu have anything to do with the headlights?....thanks for you input bro...

The headlights have their own timer called "headlight timer".
