Well, I went and spent all morning manhandling these things in there and the drivers side one seems too big for the top bracket to fit over properly. I cant get the bolts started and Im about an inch from being able to do so. I would go get a stocker but the dealership is closed, and the auto parts stores dont carry these things (travesty). Has anyone used these things and have you managed to get them to fit? I have to drive the car 250 miles tomorrow morning and steering rack bushings seem somewhat necessary to me for highway driving.

Are you talking about the bushing on the right side in below picture? I replaced mine with Nismo bushings a couple of weeks ago, and yeah, driver's side was pain. I started one bolt first and compressed really hard with hands to get the other one started. Start one bolt and try to use vice grip or something like that for the second one. a_ahmed replaced his with Yanack aluminum bushings, and I don't to how he managed to install them.
