So my Q looks like swiss cheese. Is it worth trying to fix the original panels or purchase new ones?

I have extensive hail damage to my 2000 Q. Front fenders, hood, roof, trunk, spoiler. I got 3 estimates to fix the damage, all three coming in at right about $4500. About what my car is worth.

Is your insurance covering the damages?

:welcome: to NICO pearlyQ!

If your paint is in otherwise good condition, I would certainly consider one of the paintless dent repair guys if you can find a good one in your area.

Paint is in great shape... but there is so many dents it would cost a fortune to do PDR. If I go the insurance route itll total my car and I dont want a Salvage title.

Have you checked with a PDR guy? I've heard that they give huge discounts (per dent) when you have a lot of them (e.g. hail).

I'm guessing it would take a couple of guys a day to straighten out your car, so how much do they really need to charge to pay for that time... a couple of grand? I'm just saying I would check. You might even be able to get a quote that would get you under the "total" threshold for your insurance.

i think im gonna repair and replace the panels... I want a fresh paint job anyways. The rear bumper has been repainted by a previous owner and it doesnt match perfectly plus there is a scratch i want to get rid of.
