i have my second o2 sensor zip tied to my transmission. you will get a check engine light for this but it doesnt affect anything else. its jsut there to keep the ecu happy, basically

you can either weld in a fitting for it, but what i did was kept it plugged in and zipped tied it to the transmission bracket, as long as it's pluged in, there should be no CEL

I got everything all undone last night and noticed there was no bung... So i put my old stuff back on...

Well now that I know what to do I guess I'll get 2 - 02 bungs welded on and heat wrap it before I do it again...

Thanks!

you shouldnt get a CEL from the rear O2 sensor being pluged in but not attached. Me and a buddy with a 96 has it set up the same way without the annoying CEL

The 2nd o2 sensor needs to read 1.2V and can only get that by being heated up after the kat if you have it plugged in with no kat it is not making 1.2v and will through a CELBut remember this will not make a change to the fuel MAP like the front one does so I say ditch it! Just make sure the first one is in the down pipe so ALL exhaust can flow across it.

Got it on... no CEL for me.

Of corse something HAD to go wrong... so my 02 bung was welded slightly to high...

I'm just guna make a dent in the car to make it fit right...

I also had to turn down my boost by 13% so it would be at 8psi... weard.

I've done a search not too long ago because i was installing an SR pipe to my Greddy turbo and found out some nice info so i'll just pass it on to you guys:First of all thanks to "Kenji" for this info.No need to weld a bung.Goto Radio Shack and get a 8ohm 20w non-inductive resistor got about under $3.Cut out the sensor, then you'll have 3 wire White/Black/red.Connect one side of the resistor to the White and the other side to Red.Ground the Black to the chasis.Tie the Resistor somwhere so it wont hit the DP.I been driving for almost 1k miles already and no check engine light :)

I get cel codes alot--i run with no crank angle sensor on the bellhousing--it broke wehn removing the transmission--been riding like that for over a year and a half. No problems--all i did was remove the bulb from the bakc of the cluster--i put it back in and check the coeds every now and then. But only when the car runs like crap or something--most of those cels are BS anyway.--Josh
