Any ideas on what it's worth, or what a fair price would be?

Also, what should i look for on it (gonna drive it tomorrow)? Any specific areas I should look at for damage / wear?

Thanks brothas.

Aslong as it's in good condition, I'd say a little short of 4 grand is a decent estimate.

The top is an expensive part and on this old of a car, it has a tendency to deteroriate unless well-cared for and garage-kept. The rear "window" can also become cracked and foggy, so check that out closely too.

From there, just use good judgement, as it's just a cra like most others. But if there's something wrong with one of the doors, inside or out, be prepared to hsell out a bit of cash because they're 'vert-specific parts. ;)

ALL 240 'verts were autos. They take a manual conversion just like anything else.

SeVa had good advice about the top. With that mileage, I would make sure the car is perfect before shelling out 4500 for it. I think 3800 or so is more like it. I would definitely check for smoke at startup and bad noises coming from the timing chain area underhood. Make sure the lines of the car line up and check the gaps and CARFAX if you can.

Another thing I like to do is fire it up and let it idle for ten minutes or so to see if it gets hot. If it gets hot, then it's a no-go for repo. ;)

What does the timing chain noise mean? I believe i have that, it does it on start up, goes away, and then appears when the car warms up? Thanks

Q will be in Vegas.

I may hit the tarmac for a little donut action if someone's handy with a camcorder.

MAYBE a little drift action, but I'll definitely have to swap on some different tires/rims. Bring your 5-lugs and you're on. :)

Nah, not going to Vegas, sorry. I would really only go for the Sunday event, aka, track event. I really have no interest in Friday / Saturday hardparking / drag / dyno events, especially with stock SR. And I can't come sunday because Formula D is at Irwindale, with D1 Drivers Search the weekend before, which I'll hopefully be competing in. Aggghh... this is going to be a busy next few months.

Kick some *** Bubba.

hey Greg, you should go to a junkyard and pull some steelies off some random car with a wheel size more or less the same then hit up the used tire shop for some cheapies to throw on the back real quick.

Luxury car Drifting is tytness. So them it's not just for Chasers and the Krauts.

I'm getting a set of super light BBS's (like it came with) and I'll throw some $5 used rubber on it for the track.
