HELP!!

Water dripping from sunroof switch area. Heavy rains in CT lately and more today. On the exterior, the sunroof is slightly depressed at the back. Main sunroof switch still works (on and off), but the tilt switch does not. My mechanic cannot get to it for a few days and recommends taping it up?!? I don't mind doing this if the tape doesn't ruin the paint. Please, some suggestions

Thanks

In my experience the tape wont ruin the paint.I used clear tapeSunroof repair on these cars is <expensive>.

I just got mine done w/ used parts and at shop that charges less than dealer ( one of the very few less than dealer places I would trust,T3 Atlanta).$1400, which was an unusually good deal.

You sould have no problem to get a decent shop to get it all the way closed for you for now.

Fred..:)

Check the drains...... They're holes on the front sides of the sunroof opening, on the roof......

Pour water down them, and you should see water coming from the bottom of the car (right under the respective door.....)
