Need help with my son's 2001 I30. He had a list of parts needing repaired and I wanted to tackle them while he was in town. Had 2 codes on the CEL. Revolution sensor and knock sensor. Took care of the revolution code by replacing the sensor. Wasn't happy about having to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds to get to the knock sensor. Replaced it and put everything back together. Now it is getting a swirl fault code (P1130?). I read up on where that is located and I know it is something that I took off while doing the Knock sensor. Seems coincidental that it is now throwing that code. Did I simply put a vacuum hose in the wrong place? Please help.

Hi and welcome to the forums! You could download your factory service manual from our site. See the Service manuals link on the top of the page and get all the chapters. If you go to the EC chapter, on Page EC-453 it starts talking all about your swirl valve setup, how it works, how to diagnose it, etc. Yeah, you probably crossed some hoses, but maybe a part has finally failed. Here's a direct link to that

Let us know how it goes!
