help gear box problems

hey guys i just got my gear box rebuilt last year and now my 3rd gear is starting to grind my friend who works on cars said the 3rd gear bearing is going is this true it only grinds some times or when i drive for a long time or could it just need oil

It would do the same thing in all gears if it was the oil. I think your friend is right.
