HELP!!!!!! gauges going crazy..

ok. i need some help... last night i was driving home.. and all of the sudden the temp gauge goes beyond hot.. now.. so i turned the car off.. and when i turned the lights off the gauge went to normal. so i drove it home..not today..when i was looking at it .. it starts fine . and idles fine temp ok..but if i turn the lights on the temp gauge goes up..turn the lights off temp goes down.. get this.. if i turn the heater on the temp gauge goes up too...

i took apart the light swithch.. cleaned all the connectors..put it back together., took apart the ac headunit.. cleaned all connectors put it back together.. still the same.. some one help.. thankscar stats'92 240sx with sr20det t28 .drift setup..HELP.HELP..

probably a short in the wiring behind the dash. sounds like one of the wires that runs common, possibly a constant is shorting with the temp.

drove it this morning .. and all the gauges go crazy and loose power.. head light go dimm....

help.

i think i got it .. there was a wire that was behind the alternator... but doesnt come from the alternator looks that it was used to ground to it.. anyway.. everthing seems ok..for now.. thanks...
