HELP Gas in the Oil

I bought a '95 240 about a month ago. I changed the oil about 3 weeks ago and today when I checked it not only did it rise about 3/4" past the high mark but it also has the smell of gas. Both after the oil change and today the car had been sitting overnight when I checked it. And it does not seem to be running rich. I have not had a chance to change the plugs or wires and was wondering if could either be a plug not firing or a problem with the injectors or worse. I got a scan tool and checked the codes and P0325 (Knock Sensor) showed up. I don't know if this could contribute to the gas or not. Or could the car misfiring make the knock sensor code show up? Where should I start with the diagnosing of the gas in the oil? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
