I've got a '92 Q45 and it seems like it's not getting enough gas. Especially going up hill and I live in the damned mountains. I could have a full tank and the engine sounds like I'm outta gas. Possible explanations others have suggested include fuel pump going out or bad fuel pressure regulator. Any ideas guys?

How much mileage do you have on your car?

Have you changed air filter, fuel filter, or any parts relating to fuel system?

Do you experience any of these symptoms in the city or only driving up the mountains?

is there ahumming from the back of the car? if so, its probably your fuel pump. You want to replace it IMMEDIATELY because its frying your fuel pump controller, which costs 2x the pump.

178K, New Air filter, New fuel filter, I've done nothing else to it yet. And yeah, in the city too. It just gets worse when I'm going up hill. Kinda like it's gettting gas, just not enough and when I'm going up hill gravity's pulling gas away from the engine.

Simple, measure the idle , cruise, and WOT fuel pressure to start problem solving.

What one does on every make and model vehicle as a starting point.
