Ok, I hate asking the question, because I feel like a total noob and I should know what it is by now, but I just can't figure it out.

A couple weeks ago, my car just would not start on me out of the blue. I was definately fuel, because it sputtered and ran crappy and would die. I would start it then try and rev it and nothing would happen and it would die again. I had it towed home from a frind of mines house and I checked all my igniton stuff just to make sure. All is well in the spark department. I had it taken to my personal mechanic (even though I am a tech myself) because he has worked on Z's longer than I have even liked them, haha. Anyway, He checked my fuel pump control module and it turns out that it had fried!!!! We openned it up and there it was, all crispy and black inside!! I purchased a fuel pump control module from Z1Motorsports and had it installed. It now fires up but it idles for a few seconds and dies. He called Z1 and talked with them on the phone and they want the fuel pump c/m and their ECU in which I installled a couple months ago. They want to take alook at both to see if the ECU was hurt when the FP c/m decided to go south on me. Its not all bad, becaue i was going to send it back to get reprogrammed anyway for the new injectors. I was just wondering what anybodies thoughts are? It is becoming most irritating and I am starting to pull my hair out!!!

My car has had similar start up issue this winter as well. Nothing wrong with my fuel computer or fuel sending unit ground though and I've searched around the web and consulted other and it seems some have traced the problem back to their ECU. I'm not pointing fingers or saying who is at fault by any means, but the common tie with every car was a Z1 computer

Ballz!!! I figured that might be the problem. The guy at Z1 said they were making some changes in house because the guy that builds their ECU was screwing them up. I hope they replace it and don't screw me over.

I'm hoping for the same thing. I need to ship mine out to them as well

We'll have to wait and see how it works out for both of us.
