Help from Wisconsin residents (Madison/Verona area)

is there emissions testing in the Madison or surrounding area?

how many months out of the year is there snow on the roads, which means salt on the roads too to make my car rust?

no, theres no emissions testing in wisconsin.

snow starts usually in oct/nov and ends in feb/march. Although theres always the chance that there could be a random snow earlier or later than that.

salt is expensive. a lot of the smaller communities use sand instead of salt. But there does seem to be a lot of salt used in Madison. My car is relatively rust free compared to some I've seen out there. just find a car wash with a underbody sprayer and wash it often...

i'm from memphis and i'm thinking about moving to wisconsin. i recently got a job offer and had a full day visit at the company. looked great but i also saw a bunch of cars with rust all over the fenders. it made me cringe...
