We're pretty sure we have everything to spec. When we go to crank the car over it cranks, sputters, then nothing, back to cranking. When we checked the PowerFC commander it shows the timing set to 9 degrees. Could that be the whole problem, or maybe something more severe? It was almost like symptoms of a dead battery. We havent messed with anything since we hit this bump in the road. I kinda wanna get some ideas on what the problem could possibly be. Any help is appreciated guys. Thanks.

i was thinking it was the ignitor myself, im running a q45 ignitor, but i still have an extra sr20 ignitor from my other motor. Ill give that try. Pretty sure it's not the cas, i think it's brand new. Any other ideas?

timing should be 15 degrees. that is the second mark from the right..also have you switched ignitors yet? dont overlook your coilpacks either and what is your spark plug gap?..if none of this fixes the problems pull the coilpacks and pull the fuel rail off with the injectors still in the fuel rail and connected to the harness...turn the key on wait a little bit to build fuel in the rail and then crank the engine over..see if any of the injectors arent opening or are opening too long..check your fuel pump fuse as well ive heard that sometimes they start to go bad and will cause the fuel pump to prime too long..also try replacing your fuel filter..the one you have now may be clogged

bingo on the timing. It'd make it pretty tough to start at 9degrees. Any other mods to the engine before you put on the PFC and do you still have the stock ecu?

Tested the ignitor yet? Also what year q ignitor you using?

hahaha, The pfc is basemapped, im running:

555cc Nismo InjectorsFreddy intake manifoldXS Power Exhaust ManifoldS15 T28 Spec-R turboSSAC Dump PipeGreddy Airinx kitZ32 MAF (Gonna wait to install it until the car is actually started)Hybrid FMIC w/ HKS SSQ BoV

Thats about it for engine mods i think.

As for the ignitor, i think it came off a 95, but not positive.

i DO have the stock ECU. I was thinking about getting it chipped and use it as a backup.
