I just bought a 2001 Maxima SE Auto. The car is awesome and I love it but I do have a question on the power locks. Are the door supposed to lock once the car is on drive? Most cars I have owned automatically lock once you begin to drive, obviously my Maxima doesn’t. I'm taking the car back to the dealership for an alignment and wonder if I should get them to fix this too. Any help w/ this would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

That is probably something they can set with the Consult tool. Just ask them about changing it.

No, don't worry, there's nothing wrong. Nissan never adopted that feature for their cars (some of the very new ones may have it, but that's it). I think it's a mainly domestic thing. My dad's Trailblazer has it. It's nice to have the doors automatically unlock for you when you put it in park.
