Help first start rb25 s13 wire problem

Hey guys long time lurker first time poster. So I got my rb25 all put in my s13 and got it cranking. This is my second swap and the first i did the harness myself. This time around I was feeling lazy and elected to have somebody else do it for me....big mistake the guy did a half a** job. Anyway he gave me the harness almost complete after 2 months.

So.. i hooked everything up and for the power to the ignitor harness the 2 pin plug (not the ignitor chip plug) he left a single switched 12v larger white wire that i had to splice in. He told me for the second wire (black/pink stripe) just needed to be grounded. witch i did.... tried to fire it and the number 1 coil burend up. Now correct me if iam wrong but the second wire the blk/pink stripe needs an actuel ecu signal right? what wire do i have to hook it up to? Thanks

Also I have a new ignitor chip that I got online. Supposedly it's of a 300zx but it's identical to the rb25 original chip. The arrow and the ground are in the same place. So that shouldn't be the problem right.

I'm not sure about your wiring problem up top but a 300zx ignitor is not identical to an original rb25 ignitor, some wiring changes need to be made to make it work. For more info go here:
