i would like to find some new switches for the rear quarter windows. while mine still work, they are sketchy at best. any suggestions on the best place to find these and perhaps a part #?

additionally, what kinds of headlight conversions is everyone doing? i need more light!

thanks!

I think those window switches are out of production. You could try the Nissan dealership, but I don't think you'll have any luck.

You could try http://www.car-part.com to search for salvage yards with 'vert parts.. if you find one that has a convertible top motor or pump, then you might get lucky and they might still have the whole car... give them a call and see if they have some of those interior parts..

As for headlights... Do you want to keep the stock pop-ups? You can get new lenses, projectors, etc... to fit in the stock housings.. Or, you can get some of the fancy new (expensive) non flip ones that sit in the stock position. Or.. you can do a silvia front end conversion.

or.. get an EVO style bodykit and get some of those massive rally fog lights.. lol.

thanks Eikon!

yes, i am familiar with http://www.car-part.com. i will see what i can dig up. i may also try contacting courtesy parts. they usually have a good inventory and good prices, but i do need a part number. anyone have any way to look that up?

headlights....i do want to keep the pop-up, but i would like new lenses and perhaps projectors. any thoughts....suggestions? vendors you like to deal with?

not looking to go crazy with a body kit or front end conversion. hoping to keep the 240 relatively stock looking.....for now.

thanks again.

So you have both plastic buttons? Then I can pop off the one remaining one and give it to convert? email is [email protected], shoot me an email with your addy and I'll send it and tell you the shipping when it's done.

Convert, you can have the button for free...It'll mail in an envelope and i don't feel like charging for a stamp Just so you know, the words Up/Down on the button are worn off.

Paypal is [email protected], shipping came out to $2 for each. I really should've legitimately charged for the switch though, I paid like 15 for mine and all I wanted was the buttons :p

They haven't worked since I've been around either.

The reason for that is to keep as much car related info on the boards as possible.

What tends to happen is people will privately ask questions and privately get answers, but then that info is never shared with the boards. So it's in the best interest of keeping the info out there in the public. If people really need to talk privately.. we all have email, and most of us have IM accounts as well.

It just keeps a better balance on the boards.

Alright, I see the payment, just needs to be cleared. Enjoy the switch, and lemme know if it doesn't work out for ya.
