connected an amp meter in series between + terminal and wiring harness that connects to + terminal and got ~2.3 amps with the car off, i was under the impression that .5v is the max parasitic draw. i unplugged every fuse and relay and nothing dropped it below 2v. i then removed the red/black wire that goes from the fuseable link box to the alternator and the amps dropped to .26. I also beleive my alternator squeels sometimes, and when turning my car on with 11.7v when its off, it doesnt go above 12v on even with revving. im almost positive my alternator isnt charging and is drawing amperage with the car off, causing my battery to die after a couple hours, just looking for a 2nd opinion.

Well, if you're certain that the alternator doesn't go above 12 sometimes, then you need to replace the alternator. Hopefully the battery hasn't suffered.
