Ok so im new to this thing, but Im looking for any info, sites etc on where I can get a low mile KA24DE, 99 or newer engine.

I replaced the head due to water leakage and then I blew a rod (number 2 to be exact).

So if you guys know anyone whos selling one or where to go to get one that would be great!

ThanksChelsea

I'm not sure if any cars 99+ have KAs in them anymore.

http://www.car-part.com - It's a junk yard database/search engine.

Looks like they go for $600 and up, if you do an non-interchange search...that's for the entire US.

None in CA...in the southwest they go for more like $1000.

Maybe somewhere will ship for free.

Ahh yes, Frontier. Was going to say Pickup but I knew those went out ages ago.

If all else fails you could get a KA from a, let's say, 240 and make it work in the truck. I know you the P/U and 240 motors are interchangable with a little bit of work (part swapping) so I bet you could do the same for the Frontier.

I wouldnt mind using the 240 if I could find one for cheap. I looked at the website that brian suggested so I have a few numbers to call.

from what I've read the 240sx ka24de will not bolt into the truck. Apparently the 240sx ka has a front sump oil pan and a non movable oil pickup making the oil pan(front and rear sump) non interchangeable.

BTW I saw a frontier ka go on ebay once for $250 low mileage and no reserve.
