New here, I have a 89' 240sx 5sp. It ran fine until I tried to start it up to go home from work and there seams to be power to everything but the engine does not crank. Battery looks to be at a little over 12V. Since I am at work its hard to work on. The ignition switch seams to be working --Headlights work, dash, fan etc. work. Its hard to tell if the fuel pump is running since there are too many other sounds around (near the highway).

What should I look at? Any relays or fuses? I do have a box of relays that I salvaged from a junk yard.

Ok, I figured it out...The grommet over the clutch pedal had broken and fallen down to the floor. When I depressed the clutch pedal the switch was not depressed because there was now a hole where this dampening grommet origianlly was.

I pushed down the clutch and reached down and pressed the switch in with my left hand, then turned the key...started right up! now I just need to find something to close up the hole.

-Hope this of use to someone if they encounter the same problem.
