#1 fires then stops. Very rough idle.

Yes, it can still be bad even if it ohms out within spec. Sometimes they just go

I'm back. Ok. I tried to get the cable off. In was not able to. It his cable for injector being held in by a clip or pin. I'm not seeing what holds it in place. I didn't try forcing anything. As I have come to conclusion since most cables don't want to come lose and plugs and what not that these must be original injectors. So will order new ones soon as I can take chncr to ruin engine by driving on 5 cylinders. Still trying to solve issue. This Ma.

I'm guessing your injector connectors look like this?

If so, then there is a little metal clip holding the connector on that looks like one of these:

Use a pick or screwdriver to get the clip out and then the connector will come right off.

Have update.
Been busy with work but car is really weird of late.
Number 1 and 5 are not firing now. Coils are fine. Spark plugs are fine. Checking injectors tomorrow. And posibly doing them as well. Car has like no power. I mean none. Had cousin look at it and confirm findings. Will update when I know more. But wow. No power.

A quick check you can do to see if your injectors are firing or not is to touch the top of the metal piece/plate that covers the injector (with the injector plugged in and engine on of course) and put your ear up to the handle of the screwdriver. If you hear a ticking sound then it's firing.

I ohm injector 1 at 37 ohms. Yup. I'd say its plus to much.

Yepp it's for sure out of spec. Usually when they fail, they ohm out high like yours did.

Sounds like helicopter big time. No power what's so ever. How can I go from two not firing and not losing much power and I fix one but now have NO power. Ugggg

When one injector goes, they're all gonna go man. That's just the nature of the beast.

Since you have an NA, your injectors are 270cc. If you upgrade to new style connectors, you can grab injectors from all kinds of other Nissans like Altimas and Maximas. But for mine, I picked up a set of reman'd ones on ebay for $130 I think, they just sonic clean them and flow test them. Also comes with new o-rings. It beats $60-80 each. It would be different if you had a TT

These injectors are light damn Christmas lights. One goes out they all go out. Geez. Driving to house going to take everything off and install all of them. Car has me so upset. Going now and I mean I am ripping car apart to install all injectors. Hope I survive this. If I'm not back. I killed the car and to ashamed to admit it.

You're learning! haha it's always a love-hate relationship with these cars. When everything works it's so much fun and enjoyable to drive. When stuff starts breaking and messing up, you don't even wanna look at it. We all feel your pain :gapteeth:

Wow. I'd say the plenum gasket is first one ever on this car. It baked on like carbon. Dammmmm. Have to take to shop to remove it from plenum. Hoses are old dried up. Replacing them to. All of them. Plugs are te wrong ones. Getting replaced. Crud on engine is old. Replacing with sparkle. What else. Oh did I mention I hate cars. Why did I start this project in the first place.
Because in the end. I can say wow. I did something on my own for once. Haha.
Will this car ever run again.

Ok. Final write up on this long chapter. Till next adventure with my car.

Ok. Here's what I did. What I found and what I learned.
First off.
Car was idling funny.
Did all the test everyone on here told me to try.
Yes people. The advice given was dead on. Those who gave advice I give props to. You helped me with my car.
One coil went bad. After doing the test most said. I found that whoever changed plugs put in 3 dollar plugs. Warning. Do not do that. Put in what came with car. Enough said. Also number 3 plug was half way lose. Never all the way in. The plugs I will post pictures. So you can see what they look like. Number 3 coil is busted but works. Replacing tomorrow. Replaced all injectors. Wen one went out they all went out. Wow. Christmas song anyone. Anyway.
I did all work on car and unless you are a mechanically inclined person. I wouldn't do a plenum removal. Trust me. I have cuts and bruises from it. To many hoses and screws. 3 days later my car is on the road. If your going to do this. Please take tubs of pictures or hire somebody. When you think a screw is holding the plenum down. It's two large hoses in rear backside. The job took a while because of time.
Um. The writes up on this site work. But be careful. Hoses everywhere. Oh. Don't forget to take pics of wire loom before you do this. But do what I did. I labeled each one. AA. BB. CC. DD and so forth then they plugged into each easy.
Anyway.

Did I say I hate cars and I'm no mechanic. Why on earth is the 300zx the only car I've done all repairs on so far??
I'm hungry. Going for slice of cheese.

The good news is that now that you've serviced a Z32, you're pretty well qualified to work on just about anything.

I'll say I earned my Z badge for a day. But I know nothing about cars. Nothing.

I can't believe how calm the engine is running. It's running so quiet I can barely hear it. In a good way. The hardest part of it all was patients. It can break your spirit. But I'm learning and it'd a blast. Everything everyone said to try led me to finding and resolving my issues.
Thanks yo all who helped.

Just a small update. Been running car none stop. Car running extremely good. I'm shocked that I did this on my own but with advice from everyone here. Wow.
Now I can concentrate on upgrading the stereo. I need sound. This topic is officially closed.
Thanks to everyone. Props.
1 Z Star Badge Earned.

Starting with injectors cost a lot but in the long run. It's well worth it. Fixed my issues and I found others I resolved in my journey.
Love my Z
