HELP- Engine swap-2004 350Z

I need to change engine for my 2004 350Z. The manufacturing date for my car is 01/2004. I found a 2004 350Z that has a good engine but the manufacturing date is 07/2003. According to car parts these engines are different. However I can't tell the difference and don't want to buy the engine and find ut later that they are different. I would greatly appreciate any info about this. THANKS.

I don't think they changed the engine at all till the 05 anniversary model, so long as it came form a z it should be a direct swap, if you find any sensors or connectors taht differ swap them over
