Help Energy Suspension BUSHING Install

I currently installing the energy suspension hyperflex bushing set into my 1990 s13

and i can't get the rack and pinion bushing in. any tips???

Also if you have done this set up before please give me as much advice as possible. cause i spent 3 hours today trying to get these things on without any luck.:help

just a guess, but would some kind of heat gun help? i want to do the same thing.

you dont want to heat these things up. besides, heat expands stuff.

do you have a c-clamp you can fit in there? you can try that IF it fits.

other than that. just figure out a way to get leverage on the things and go at it. :P

i've heard of put them in the freezer (to contract material) and then grease them up for easy fitting. (this is in aluminum though) so I don't know how effective this method would be.

wouldn't the heat make them softer. maby put them in some boiling water then sather them with grease and they would slip right in. just an idea.

i retract the water notion and stick with heat gun.

Now keep in mind that I am a person very much in favor of DIY work, but maybe taking it to a suspension shop is not the worst thing in the world. According to my father who's knowledge far outpaces mine, you need to have your car realigned anyways if you change all the bushings so why not bring the setup to them.

after many failure to get the bushings installed and the lack of tools to do it, i think i am going to bring them to the shop.

another reason is because every time i bring my car to my auto class something gets broken more than it gets fixed so i think i am going to bring it to a shop.
