i've heard of put them in the freezer (to contract material) and then grease them up for easy fitting. (this is in aluminum though) so I don't know how effective this method would be.

Now keep in mind that I am a person very much in favor of DIY work, but maybe taking it to a suspension shop is not the worst thing in the world. According to my father who's knowledge far outpaces mine, you need to have your car realigned anyways if you change all the bushings so why not bring the setup to them.

after many failure to get the bushings installed and the lack of tools to do it, i think i am going to bring them to the shop.
another reason is because every time i bring my car to my auto class something gets broken more than it gets fixed so i think i am going to bring it to a shop.
