Hey guys, I have had a problem that I have been procrasinating on for a while because I hate electrical systems on cars ( I am the mechanical type of person). Back in Feb. of this year some Fuc*** A**holes decided to break into my garage and steal my stereo equiptment in my car. If you have had this happen to your car, you know that they do not take care in ripping the **** out of your car. The problem I am having is getting my head unit to turn on. I have done many stereo installs on cars, as well as my own and I do know about elecrical systems, but I would like the advice of you guys. I have checked the audio fuses in the cabin, as well as the engine bay. Bad wiring could be the cause, but I just want some of your opnions in this mess I have to fix.

Thanks Guys!

My advice, would be to check your hot wires, to see if they are indeed hot. If they are, you may have a grounding problem.

If they are not, then you need to follow those SOB's just as far back as you possibly can and find out where the short is.

I believe the 97's either have two or three hot wires comming from the harness.

OR

you could take it to a Nissan dealership.

So yea, either a short, or a grounding problem. Buy a hot stick for $9.99 at walmart and check it out

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking about cleaning all the grounds, and then I defentily have to find the ground for the audio power source. Well, wish me luck.
