So 2 weeks ago i changed out my cracked belt driven fan for an altima electric fan and DIF dual fan controller, while i was at it i upgraded my electrical system with new batter terminals and electrical grounding through out the engine bay.

Today i get home and notice that the fans arent on after i turn off the motor (the DIF fan controller will keep the fans on for a minute or 2 after you turn off the car)

i check the temp gauge, 1 notch below halfway... not to bad

i pop the hood to find that the fuse is blown for the connection. ok... pop in another fuse, turn the ignition to "on" without actually starting the car so the fans will start again, it runs for 10 minutes, but the fuse gets really hot, the primary fan gradually gets slower and slower and then pop, the fuse is blown. (i hope it didnt take the motor with it) The secondary fan didnt seem to be affected... it was turning off and on though because the engine must have been right at 190 degrees... the temp i have set for the 2nd fan to come on.

SO what do you guys think? grounding issue? what could cause a fuse to slowly go like that over 10 minutes?

Either the motor could be going bad or your wiring is insufficient.
