Happy new year to everyone!! I have a 2006 M35 with 40,000 miles. It has 23 months and I'm the original owner. Eigth months ofter the purchase, the driver seat bottom started moving while accelerating or braking and was fixed under warranty. About eigth months latter it started doing it again and I noticed that one side of the seat bottom was lower than the other one. It was also fixed under warranty. Now, seven months latter, I have the same problem with the seat, including the uneven seat bottom causing some back-pain, and the part was ordered under warranty. I know that there is the Service Bulletin ITB07-029 and it apply to my car.
My question is what happens when the warranty expires? Do I have to pay for the same repair every time it breaks or is going to be repaired under the Service Bulletin without cost to me? I saw the warranty invoice and it was over $800.
I take excelent care of my M and all the service is done at my local Infiniti dealer every 3,750 miles. I'm happy with the service at the dealer and I love my car, but I'm very concerned about this matter. I'm a big guy and weight 300 pounds but I don't throw myself on the seat. I had a 1995 Maxima for 111,000 miles; a 1997 I30 for 106,000 miles and a 2004 Maxima for 45,000 miles and never had this type of problems with the seats.
Any comments or sugestions are appreciated.Carlos
