HELP! Disengage car alarm

I have a 97 Q45 and recently the alarm been going off permanently so i had to pull the negative terminal off the battery. Before that i would turn the key to unlock and it would go off so i would turn the key back to the lock position then back to unlock and the alarm would disengage. Then one day i go to unlock it and it kept going so i had no choice but to pull the negative terminal off and before i get it tow to a Nissan Dealership, i want to know is there anyway i can do it and save myself the money?

If you permanently ground the purple wire, located inside the drivers door panel, the factory alarm will be permanently deactivated. That purple wire should be attached to the key cylinder inside the door.
