 so im having problems! :frown: i used the search button and nothing came up. *sigh* ok so i bought my s14 with coilovers already installed i bearly knew anything about camber wear and toe and caster and all that good stuff. so ive had the car for 10 months now and 2 months ago a friend told me about camber arms, so i immediately went online did some research and purchased a pair of camber arms. a month ago i decided to give it a try to take the arms of and put the camber arms in. so i installed the camber arms and the drivers side had way more neg. camber than the passengers side because of a stupid time i had spun out when i had first gotten my car. the drivers side was really sunk in and the other side was way closer to the fender. so after putting both sides as close as i could to the fender for a perfect fitment look, on the drivers side i had to pull out the camber ALOT. and a week later i started hearing a clunk noise, my dad said its my axle being pulled from my wheel, so thats why the little gears are grinding. so today we decided to put my the old arms back in and the clunk noise went away!!! my wheel looks so retarded!! is there such a thing as getting a longer axle? what do i do? what can i do? mechanics charge up the @$$ just to fix or tell you what the problem is. please help! any type of help would be appreciated. :frown: thanx :) ill post pics 2morrow got all day to see whats going on.

Sounds like you bent the subframe when you had your little accident. I'd see about picking up a new one and swapping all your parts over.

The rear subframe. No idea how hard an s14 one is to find though.

that's redicoulous. So how does it not bend when your drifting? If I switch it out and get another one, if I ever get to drift my car is it going to bend again? I did spin out at like 50mph. I don't get it? Ahhhh! What do they do? Re-enforce they're subframe?

The previous owner probably hit a curb or something and bent it. It's also possible that the lower control arm is bent, but the one thing that is for sure is your rear suspension is not right. You might want to take some measurements and look for any obvious bends or other differences between the left and the right sides.

You have installed suspension parts but failed to have the alignment done. Take to a alignment shop that can can check subframe. I think your biggest problem is the rear alignment is waaay out.

My alignment is off but my thing is, can the subframe really get bent my spining out at like 50mph?? I haven't hit a curb or anything? And when I got the car the wheels were even. I'm about to purchase some new tires, and they were gonna align them for me cheap, some other place was charging me way too much. If the subframe is bent. Ill try to bolt it off, do what I gotta do to starighten it back to how it was and re enforce it so it won't bend again. If I have to take it some where then I'm going to have to check where to take it and compare prices. Its raining this whole week in southern cali and this is my daily driver & with these holidays... its not the best time of the yr. >=/

Get the alignment done first, then let's see if the subframe is bent. The alignment may cure your problems.

yes.... it can bend going 20 if you hit something right

sure, you may not have hit a curb but the previous owner may have. it may just now be showing symptoms with camber arms done
