Hello everyone,

My name is Frank and I am from Huntsville,Alabama. I have recently bought an 1993 nissan 240sx convertible Limited Edition. I bought this car mid Jan. and have done nothing but homework/research on the 2JZ with the cd009 transmission(350z transmission) and I know people are saying you must have a custom driveshaft mocked up....but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place i could purchase one already made to these specs?

Thank you for any insight into this matter.stay awesome :dblthumb:

The driveshaft shop makes a driveshaft for the 240 chassis that goes to a 350z transmission. Give them a call and ask about your specific application. I'm not sure if the 2jz moves the location of the 350z transmission in comparison to where it would be if it were mated to a KA/ SR engine. If they don't pre-make them as you desire, find a local shop with good reviews and have them fabricate something for you.

Good luck with the drive-shaft hunting. When looking for shops to help with drivetrain stuff I go to a 4x4 specialty shop. Those guys and their all wheel drive toys really know how to take care of and customize drive-shafts, axles and differentials. They have regular rates and they often like any car so don't be afraid of their specializing.

There's a regional section somewhere around here. You can look for shop recommendations there.

Yeah, this site is awesome. Tons of knowledge, experience and inspiration in these forums. Welcome aboard!

Shaftmaster.com is a sponsor of this site. Maybe give them a call and see if they've ever done that setup before. I'd imagine if they havent, you could take some simple measurements, they could handle the rest.

Hey Frank, I'm very curious how the swap is going for you. I'm looking to purchase either a hatch or vert and do the same swap.

Hey ph1tness, welcome to Nico! You might try to PM the guy. He only had two posts here, so he's not a very active member just yet. I don't know that you'd get a reply. Good luck and stick around for your future project. We all love 240sx ideas and projects.

I got my driveshaft from Shaftmasters about 1.5 years ago, it was around $350 for a 1 piece steel balanced shaft. I had to give him measurements at the time. But it fit perfectly. They also had it to me within a week.

Look for "Steel/Aluminum Driveshaft Nissan 240SX-S13 1989-1994 with 350Z 6 speed transmission. without ABS" on their webpage.
