couple of questions about my sr20de.. i just want to know if i can buy everything as the sr20det.. i currently have the sr20 from the Infiniti G20so im trying to buy new stuff for my motor and i dont really know what to ask for..

I'll help you by putting you in the right forum

The sr20de and det are essentially the same motor with a few differences. DET has lower compression, piston oil squirters, block is drilled and tapped for oil/coolant return, bigger injectors. You can turbo the DE, you will have to use injectors from the DET. You will also have to drill & tap the block for oil/coolant. Buy a manifold and turbo of your choice, FMIC & piping, downpipe & exhaust, upgrade clutch and engine management.

Just make sure the parts you get are designed for a FWD DET.

hey thanks alot guys!! but the SR20DE that i have looks exactly like the same one that comes in the g20 but it's like a big difference, like the g20 has the coil on the side wich would be the back and mine its on the side just like shown here so i dont know what parts to ask for if they will fit and what not so, I just want to know like when i go to the auto parts i need a new alternator so i dont know what to ask for g20 or SER or idk thanks guys really helpful forum!

that is a rwd sr20de that you have a pic of. transverse motors will sit sideways.

That motor is in my car just like that i have a 91 240sx... i just want to know from what car does it come from or like what do i ask for when i need parts what car do i refer 2

Dude, this is the FWD SR20DET section. You can't use any of those motors in your RWD 240. I will move this over to the right section.

They came out of some 180sx's and silvia's. I dont think any USDM car had the rwd version of the sr20de.
