2006 g35 Sedan, 51 k miles. Recently started creaking at low speed over bumps, especially when backing up, like out of driveway. Sound comes from back of vehicle. Any ideas anyone?? I love this vehicle and this is becoming quite annoying-

I'm going to guess there is a joint in the suspension that needs some grease or other attention. Maybe a shock is dry? Have you looked for any sign of leaking fluid? Perhaps a call to the Infiniti service advisor will shed some light.

I'll bump this back to the top and give it another chance for an answer.

Mine also creaks when stepping of of the driveway onto the road. It creak over speed bumps when I'm traveling slow. In previous cars it's been joint problems or moving parts that lack adequate lubrication. I used to squirt teflon or graphite (never use WD40, it attracts dirt and grime) style lubricants on the joints and then drive the car around for about 10 minutes, turning several times. The creaking would go away for about 2-4 months. Pittsburgh is a wet city, so there's always water being tossed around beneath the car.

I've also read other posters here and on other G sites discuss this problem, so you're not alone.

Common problem in the 03-04 sedans...there is something in the suspension that needs to be adjusted. Do you hear sound coming from the rear shelf?

This problem in the 03-04 sedans are typically the rear sway bar end links.

I've heard of some people having a weld brake loose back there too...
