I put a NISMO thermostat in when I did my swap and used liquid gasket around the thermostat housing. When I drove it, I got a pretty bad leak that blew through the gasket. So I figured the KA and SR has the same gasket and got one from advanced auto. It didn't fit right like I thought it would, so I did a little cutting to make it work, but I got a small leak from that gasket too.SO! I decided to find an OEM SR gasket online but I can't seem to find anything anywhere. I'm wondering if it is even supposed to have a gasket. What do you guys do? Thanks

I just used the red RTV silicon on mine. No leaks and no problems. Just make sure you have a continuous bead and give it time to cure.

there is no gasket. nissan uses rtv from factory.

if it leaked after you used rtv then surface must not have been cleaned properly.
