HELP! Computer/console not working!!

Ok, freaking out here... I took my 2006 M45 into a place to get it tinted and now *none* of the center console buttons work! The status screen will show after the nav "press enter" screen times out. I've pressed every button about 100 times and tried turning off and turning back on the car - nada. Of course the tint place said they didn't do anything, other than leave the key in and the switch turned to 'on' so they can roll down the windows. They said it was left in the on position for about 2 hrs but they didn't disconnect the battery or anything like that.

What would cause this to happen? I am hoping someone here has some suggestions before I haul it to the infiniti dealer. I've only had the car for 2 weeks now, so not liking this one bit....

I would try disconnecting the battery for several minutes and see if that works.

Ok, I decided to go ahead and take the M into the dealer last night. I couldn't bear to be without my M for long

Dealer called this morning stating that when the tech first looked at the car he couldn't find anything wrong. Apparently the console started working again, but the tech continued to look deeper into the problem. He found that the nav control unit had an intermittent short and decided to replace it. They had to order it overnight so I won't get my M back until tomorrow (hopefully)

Anyone have this unit replaced before? What settings will I lose?
