HELP! Clutch Problem!!

i have a S13 coupe with 187,xxx miles. so just recently my car has stop going into gear. my initial reaction was that it was the transmission but i don't think it is. when i step on the clutch pedal, it stays down. it never comes back up. then i start pumping the pedal a couple times and then its back to normal. not only that but its going into gear again. so i'm not sure if it's the transmission or the clutch. any help would be great. thanks.

sounds like the clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced / rebuilt and might as well do the slave cylinder. I rebuilt both of mine at the same time for pretty cheap. Any auto parts stores should have the kits, or actual parts.

agree, sounds like slave cyl to me.

Get a new slave. Keep old one. If problem isn't fixed get new master. Usually if you replace just master your slave will die soon.

appreciate the help guys and i know that this is a newbie question but where are the clutch master and slave cylinders located? pics would be VERY helpful.
