Help Clutch Fan

Got the sr20det woohhoooo. Everytime i drive it over heads, for righ now the mechanic siad that the clutch fan won't work, so he put a 12" electric fan on there. He said its not pulling enough heat from the radiator, what should i do. Don't have an aditional 300 for dual electric fan. Can i still use the sr20det clutch fan, even tho it sits reall far fromt eh radiator.

clutch fan is gay..wut cfm is your electric? and make sure he installed it correctly for the puller setup.

Yeah definitely make sure it is a puller but I got a used altima fans for $35 and it works great and never overheat unless AC is on during the day. BTW running KA24E radiator.

maybe you should do some research before you spout off about the clutch fan being "gay"...pulls more air than 90% of fans out there....i have the clutch fan with fan shroud on my SR with a 92 KA24de electric fan (for slower speeds)...car doesnt over heat at all with my koyo and the clutch fan with shroud...even when im going full out drifting...car MAYBE heats up 20 degs and thats about it...only time i really use the KA electric fan is when i let the car cool off for a while

and to go back to the original topic...are you running a fan shroud at all???if not go get one and get another clutch fan (the fan from a KA24de should work fine on the SR) the fan and shroud will help TREMENDOUSLY on that stock radiator (wont make it 100% better but it will help yer problem alot)

also...r u runnin the stock KA radiator or the SR radiator (the SR radiator is slightly bigger than the KA) if you dont have an SR radiator...ill sell u my old one with hoses for 80 bux shipped

I beliee he is running the Ka radiator, and we tried putting the shroud on, BUT the engine sits too far back. Can you take a pic of your setup and post it so i can show the mechanic.
