2004 G35 sedan. I've got a clunking noise in the rear suspension, passenger side. I've isolated it to an assemble just forward of the axle, but I have no idea what it's called. It seems like a swing link type assembly, with an "S" shaped thing with bushings at the top and bottom. Any techs out there know what I'm talking about and can give me a name (or better yet, a part number) so I can order it? If I haven't been descriptive enough, I'll take a picture of it and post it.

Thanks,

Craig

Could be sway bar as well. That is the only thing in the rear that normally makes any noises.

You've had to many trucks or something, all coil springs on G series. Goes for 99% of import cars of recent years.

One of the common things I see is a loud clicking when changing direction from the axle nuts.

Other than that a noise when braking is usually from something being loose back there or the brake pads not having enough lubrication.

A noise and pulsation might be from a seized caliper that has overheated and warped the rotor.

A growling noise might be from tires and or wheel bearings.

Something being loose might get worse quickly and not when you expect it. Have a professional evaluate this asap for your safety and for the safety of those near you on the road.
