Ok, here is a list of what I'm getting. . . and .. . . what I'm wanting. RB25DET, FMIC, Greddy intake, G45(? 90mm) T/B, custom turbo manifold, 3" D/P & exhaust, Apex Power FC and the LM-1. . . What I'm wanting is quick spool-up and efficiant. The HP I want is 450WHP. . . . What turbo will hit that number, efficiantly, on pump gas and be reliable?

Thanks,Jeramy

I just don't know how to comment on that.....

Well, just to get a KA24DE turboed costs 2-3k for parts. Just imagine what a RB motor costs by itself that should give you an idea....

Plus all thoughs parts you want :help x forever

sorry to hijack but do you peeps think a GTR turbo would be a good upgrade for RB20/25? I think it uses a T28 flange right?, so a adapter would be need http://www.horsepowerinabox.co...1.htm

Why not just get a VG30 Turbo... Not much of an upgrade for the 25, but the for the 20 I hear its a cheap cheap upgrade

For your 25, I'd look into a GT30R or GT35. Check out http://www.atpturbo.com and give them a call with your needs. With what you are running I'd lean toward the GT35 b/c the output/powerband you are looking for vs. it's flowrate.

I'd consider the 30R if you could give up some power (maybe 400'ish rwhp instead of 450) for spool. Give the guys a call over at ATP... they'll help you with which way to go and not give you a sales pitch (from my exp).

Make sure you take care of fuel delivery (didn't see that in there) and look into lowering your CR so that you can hit the boost levels you may need to make that power (bigger turbo will provide more power with lower boost levels... but it will be a trade for more lag obviously). Hope this helps!

There is a good VG30 w/ intercooler for 400 on ebay... I'd jump on it if I hadn't found this T3/T4 I have. Not trying to be a prick, but it really gets confusing if we start talking about turbos for the 20 and 25 in the same thread... so if we could keep this on on the 25 that'd be great.

laggy is such a relative word...

if I were going for 450whp, on a 25 and keeping it nice to drive.... I would go with a GT35R if i had alot of money, or a 60-Trim maybe 56-Trim t4 comp with a stg 5 t3 turbine wheel (t3/t4).

My $.02

Just so you know. A 56 Trim T4 with a stage 5 T3 turbine in a .63 AR hosing makes full boost at 4,200 RPM's in my RB25DET. But that turbo should make 450-500 WHP.

Just some curiosity... I crunched some #'s for you. With the turbo outlet temp. @ 300F and displacement at 2.5L (~152.56ci)… you will see approximately the following flow rates (lbs/min) for your RB25:

@ 12psi

RPM1500 = 6.54 (most likely won’t have this boost level this early…)3000 = 13.094000 = 17.465000 = 21.837000 = 30.568000 = 34.93

@ 17psi

RPM1500 = 7.77 (most likely won’t have this boost level this early…)3000 = 15.554000 = 20.735000 = 25.927000 = 36.288000 = 41.47

@ 22psi

RPM1500 = -------3000 = 18.004000 = 24.005000 = 30.007000 = 42.018000 = 48.01

Disclaimer: please only use this as a ref when looking at comp maps... calculated theoretical, not actual numbers here

Hope this helps!

dont go by what u hear. vg turbine over here is 200 bucks. my friend ran it on an rb20 pulls hard, wants to pull past the rev limiter, we swapped an rb25 into his C33 and used the vg turbine. still a good upgrade. good turbime for a small budget over here. now if it costs $400 stateside why not buy a new turbine, cheapturbo.com. $549

By the way, one other question. I'm looking for the blow-off valve that sounds like a stuttering sneeze or hiss?
