Hey guys I'm currently doing a re-build on my 1992 300zxTT. The cr is being tuned to around 550RWHP but I need some input WRT wheel/tire size.

I'm thinking 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 to the rear. And for the tires 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. What offsets should I use on the front/rear wheels? Note that the HICAS is still installed. Would I get proper traction with those tire sizes?

I'm looking for a flush fit but don't mind flaring the fenders to accommodate wider rear tires once the added traction is a significant improvement.

Any advice would be great. THANKS!

Welcome to Nico. I actually have pretty much those sizes on my car now. You can check the link in my signature for pics. I had to go +40 on both because the better offset on the front was on back order. But I added a 5mm spacer to the rear and had to roll the lip (I have a 2" drop) which made the rears +35 and perfect. The fronts are using 5mm spacers just to clear the brakes. I have 15mm spacers I'm going to be replacing them with which should be perfect.

Thanks Ziggy. Were you running aftermarket brakes or stock?

Just an FYI, the type/brand of tires will give you better traction vs size. I've heard the Mich. pilot super sports are very good for a street tire.

I have upgraded the fronts to the 350z track rotors with the CZP bracket. The rears are stock right now, but going to put the G35 rears on one of these days.
