Hey every body, I just became a member today and I have been meaning for some time. Lot of geat folk on here as I have been checking the site out for some time.

Well any way I have a 92 G20 and I want to change the # 2 injector. Now I know that the engine is a nissan sentra so I hope this is the right forum, I'm still new to this. I checked the site for about 2 hours and did not see anything on the G20 only the J30 and Q45 concerning injectors. Now from what I know (which is not that much) is that the injectors are suppose to be very easy to change on the G20 (92) since they sit on the top of the engine. I had 2 mechanics give me an estimate about $260. Now I can I do it myself? The mechanic is charging $58 for labor, one plug $3 and one injector $140. I did some reseach and found that Injector Warehouse (in SC) has injectors for $57 shipped and it comes with all the seals (I did know to ask that). Now I also heard that you can really mess up the engine if you do not know what you are doing. Any advice, how easy is it? Thanks so much.

They are right on top of the engine. Easy access, lucky you!

Grab the FSM from the link in my signature and you can get full instructions for it. Make sure you put some oil on the O-rings before you seat the new injectors in, otherwise they could tear, and that would be annoying to go back and replace.

+1 on the lubricant on the o rings. Another idea to think about is to let the car set over night so the fuel line isn't pressurized. When putting the injector back in, just make sure it pops into place. If not, you will have a leaky injector which causes headaches because it will flood that cylinder.

It really is easy. Pull it out pop it in. If the old injector has been in for a while it can be a pain to get out. That lube on the o ring thing is SOOOO important. I changed an injector on my old car and put a cracked o-ring back in ( I riped one in half and so I used the old one). I thought it would be OK. Bad mistake! Floode the Cylinder, and the entire exhuast, I had gas flooding out of my tailpipe, it sucked. I didn't know it was from the bad o-ring so I ended up having someone fix it and after all that it never ran right agian. even after I change every thing in the exhust system, it never passed smog agian and it was nothing but problems until I got rid of her.

Have FUN
