Ok so I'm throwing a cel light for the evap purge valve... Purge? I'm not running any boost and have no bov wtf! What is this and how do I delete it and the rest of this emissions crap I'm in sd no such things as emissions nor inspection I wanna run normal and no bs the guide is for s13 not s14 it's a 96 se if that matters ka24de I'm getting mad watching a flashing cel :facepalm:

The purge tank is the black can looking thing on the drivers side, front under the hood. It has, iirc, 3 vacuum lines going to it. Check the vacuum lines and make sure your gas cap has a tight seal. Clear the codes and see if they come back.

Aren't the purge valve and charcoal canister completely different? I think you're speaking of the charcoal canister.

Huh, yeah I guess I'm thinking of the charcoal canister. Is the purge valve on the back of the intake manifold?

Ok so look for that and remove it lol I dunno looks a little spendy to replace especially since I'm planning a ka-t and it would be rendered useless and it would come on either way right?

I'm KAT, or was till I tossed a rod. Now I'm a lowly NA 240 again. Regardless, point is I kept my EGR system intact. The only thing I modified at all was the PCV system. If you disable the egr system you'll need to have a capacitor installed inline between one of the plugs and the ecu to prevent this same light from coming back.

Also, you can try removing that valve, cleaning it and putting it back on. Or run some seafoam through the whole intake.

Well if you knew anything of about oem boosted cars it's called a purge valve thank you very little and I have had quite a few boosted cars from showroom floor ranging from dsm's to mx6 gt turbos oh and btw smart one "purge valves don't hold boost they release pressure after wot I said it as a joke bud so yea back off bud here let me dumb it down for you blow off valve or pshhhh valve how bout that does it make you understand here let me ask you some questions you know nothing about what's the max psi a super 16g can hold on a DSM = 20 what are a dsms stock turbo 14b how much psi max on those 15 with a maf translator and 750cc injectors what cars do the 6 bolt cranks come in the 1st gens mostly 91 with the LSD rears and the 4 bolt axels which most are 3 bolt auto dsms can hold up to 300 hp before failure best way to achieve 10 sec in a DSM weisco pistons .20 over eagle rods arp head studs Brian crowder 272e 272i dual spring valve springs titanium retainers super 20g turbo max 35 psi set at 30 with a good safc neo tune 6 puck clutch lightweight flywheel 1 peice drive shaft you think cause I dunno squat about precious 240's that I'm dumb kiss my a** bro I've had awd cars that would squat in 3rd gear around a turn at 30 psi and slide better than your baby ka 240 come at me bro come meet me ill race for titles strait up we can meet half way bring the Benz to my baby Moma loves flashy cars all show no go

Sorry but I'm getting really aggrevated with 1 people thinking I have less tha 100 post= I'm dumb 2 people being ignorant well I guess today's day and age it just seems everywhere I go there is a troll everywhere and they always find me and I have to tell them off I had to literally meet a guy on DSM tuners at buds creek in md to race to prove that my set up was ligitamate granted I live 15 miles away from the track then but still I'm tired of Internet gangsters to be quite frank with you as far as him winning what ever your talking about there was nothing to be won I was trying to let him know than I may know jack about nissans but I'm not a complete noob it isn't about who is cool on a forum who wins and who loses and you as a mod should know this a mod should say random guy that didn't not answer the question and has obviously since my first post since I got my vehicle has been trying to start s*** with me have taken disciplinary action by now instead of grilling me because this Cali CHILD has gotten me fired up because he keeps f*** with me!

Holy twisted panties batman! So where were we at on this? Not sure how the ecu reads wether the purge valve is good, but resistors being soldered into the 2 wires, or shoved in at the end of the plug have helped me with some cels. Check the diag procedure in the fsm and I'll let ya know how to get rid of it.

He won by getting under your skin. Which he clearly did. It's the internet dude, no sense getting uppity because a couple people beat up on the new guy. People suck, I prefer dogs almost 100% over most people I run into every day.
