This is a detailed situation.. My girlfriend bought a 240 and decided to do the sr20det swap on the car. install was successful but after install the block was bad since there was rod knock. I purchased a new block for her and installed it and the engine will not fire up. There were no wires cut and everything on the old motor ie(alternator, ac, etc.) are bolted onto this one. there is fuel, there is spark and i ran a compression test and it pulled 120 in all cylinders. i know this is not high but i dont think its low enough for the car not to start. The car is a 89 240 with the sr20det. it has walboro 255 fuel pump and is the redtop, engine before was a red top. i have check all vacuum hoses and electrical lines.. any thoughts would be appreciated.
