i searched but came up with no results. i replaced my water pump, thermostat, and radiator and bled the coolant 3 TIMES. the car won't overheat when its idling but as soon as i drive after 15 minutes it will overheat. also i noticed the top radiator hose will be warm and the bottom one is cold. i made sure my fans work and i check the oil everyday just in case it is a headgasket but it doesnt seem to be. can somebody please help i know 240's are notorious for overheating.

Head gasket maybe....Was the coolant green when you drained it? Have you done a compression check?

Did you replaced the radiator with a new one...The bottom hose should be sligthly warm, if not , then you might still have a clogged radiator. Is this overheating related to heater usage ?? Maybe a clogger heater core ???

When it starts to over heat, try turning on the heat and see if that helps

Sounds like you need a new radiator if only one hose is warm.

yep; i would think you need a new intercooler/fluid. make sure your headgasket is not blown like mine. in mean time if your just driving around just if it overheats; turn the heat on. i heard tahts what a lot of pro racers out there do.

even tough you changed the thermostat it still could be faulty i went through three at one time, now let me ask you ,when it first overheated did you notice anything or heard anything reason why i ask because mine started with a tiny rad leak overheated the car didnt notice temp rising and then i heard small clanking sound i bent a few of my valves had to tow my car home, the next day i crank it up 10 minute warm up temp look ok so then left, about 15 minutes later it overheated i dint know about the valves till i took the head in to get it checked i imagime that was that sound it made

i also noticed when i do turns it cools down a bit and the heat inside the car doesn't work like it used to. i also noticed sometimes when i drive the temp will shoot up then drop back down a little. is it possible my parts are bad after 3 months? the parts i have installed are nissan oem water pump and thermostat from http://thenismoshop.com and a mishimoto radiator

I bet you still have an air bubble somewhere in there. The KADE is very sensitive when it comes to bleeding the cooling system. Are you loosing coolant from your reservoir after parking the car?? You need ALL the air out and a functional coolant reservoir to get good pressure and flow. How is radiator cap ?? Can you push on the spring easily ??

mines kinda soft on the rad spring. and yes my resevoir was empty!!

when i turned it on to go backhome from work it was sputtering alot n my idle was rough so still bubbles in there i guess.

how is that done wat i did was:

open rad cap and manifold bolt run it and the pour sum coolant on the rad wait......then close rad cap n then bolt.

im going to try it back wards close bolt first then cap.

Blown head gasket probably. Have a shop near you CO test the radiator. I had the same problem. When the car is at idle there is not enough compression leaking into the cooling system to create an overheating problem. As you drive excess compression leaks into the cooling system that creates an air bubble at the thermostat and the thermostat remains closed. Your coolant isn't circulating that is why one hose is hot and the other is cool.

These motors can be a ***** to burp but usually once the T-stat opens the first time the system burps.
