Well I finally decided to install my trans-go shift kit. Problem is now it doesnt move. If I rev it in drive or reverse it will kind of move but it sure doesn't "go" anywhere. I disconnected the battery to do a hard reset but no change. When I put it in gear, the car raises rpm to compensate for the load the transmission should be putting on it but just stays at the higher rpm until I shift it to either N or P. No codes either. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?? Oh yea, put in 6 qts castrol transmax for import vehicles. lists as a matic j fluid. I also ran it through the gears, R and D, and also 1 through 4 using manual shift and the wheels were spinning in the direction they should've been so I figured it was all good. put in on the ground......PRESTO!! No go.

If you installed the one for a Ford that would explain the problem.

My 58 Ford would never start when it rained.

Not that....it's the right kit. RE5R05A-HD2 Nissan 5 speed RWD. I got to thinking about it more and I think I MAY have put the "orificed reducer plug" in the wrong hole. I HATE WHEN I DO THAT!!!! :slap: Have to pull the vb off to check it. It goes between the valve body and the trans at the rearward side of the vb and is tapped into one of the galleys there. At least the vb is only about 10 bolts (looking at the bright side). Uhg....I know how I'm spending my morning, there goes my plans for going shooting today. :squint:

I did one on my 97 Firebird...was not hard, just a lot to screw up. There were a ton of check-balls! Not sure what to tell you other than take the vb off and try again.

Yep, thats what I did. Dropped the vb and checked to make sure I installed the part in the right hole, all good there. Guess I'll just have to put the pan back on and see if she goes this time. If not....guess it'll be tow time to the trans shop. :gotme

FIXED IT!!! :woot: Guess I got caught up in my redneck side instead of taking the time to do it right the first time :gapteeth: . The bolts in the valve body are very specific in placement, I took the time to look up on the web and found someone who took the time to take pictures, draw diagrams and list all the bolts and their location throughout the entire valvebody (what I should have done to begin with) . How embarassing  . But I got it fixed and HOLYMOLY!!!, what an improvement. Ready for all the insults and ribbing now.....LOL........Yep, I know I'm a dummy :)
