Hey guys a little info on a reacurring problem for some of stupid enough to buy sportlines for a daily driver. My car looks f###ng great so i dont want to take them off. Plus after doing searches i found out the tokico blues on the car arent going to do well with the drop. Is there any way to protect the wheel well or ive heard of something you put in the springs? Any advice is better than none.

I've used Sportlines before on an S13, and had no problems with it. I used Tokico Blues and at one point, the fronts were even cut a coil and a half. Unless your stock shocks are completely blown, you shouldn't be bottoming out.

And by bottoming out, what are yu referring to? The chassis bottoming out on the ground(speed bumps, driveways)? Or the suspension bottoming out(springs compressing all the way, shock piston running out of travel, wheel hitting the wheelwell)?

What i forgot to mention:I increased the wheel size to 235/40/17My tires are now rubbing a hole through the tops of my front fender wells. Its now started to eat through my lighting cables(at least i think thats what the wires run to). Starting to see wires exposed.

dude...i have tokico blues on my car...they ride great....and as far as eibachs are concerned, they are one the best spring makers out there. i don't personally have them, but i know guys that have them on their 240s with tokicos also. they have NO problems rubbing, much less bottoming out. who put the springs on for you? maybe u should recheck how they were installed.

Its not constantly rubbing only when i hit the right bump, and did you read the part about the 17s . Maybe thats why none of you guys have problems, seems everybody has stock issue 16s.

Get some good shocks on your car. Sounds like your sportlines have worn out your stockies(Always happens with stock shocks). I had sportlines with KYB GR-2 (although i would recomend AGX for there adjustability) and i was just fine.Tyler

Sounds like you hosed yourself with the 17" wheels. If you want a ghetto fix to a ghetto problem..... any parts store will sell you some coil-spring spacers. You can either just get the rubber inserts for around $3... or you can go all out and get the adjustable ones that are about $10..... or get some 16"s... or don't drop you car as much..... but FIX IT SOON.... exposed wires are BAD NEWS!! Not to mention, you're going to fuc# up your tires and wearing holes in your wheel wells is tres-ghetto.

its your struts, thats it! My cousin has 18in rims on his 240, w/ 235/40/18 tires slammed on JIC coilovers and has no rubbin at all! and on my car i have ground control coil overs w/ 215/40/17 tires w/ no rubbing at all. Our springs are stiffer than your sportlines but you dont have as much of a drop. your struts are gone replace them and it will be fine.
