I have an 03 G35. Had the AC on and suddenly fan went to full power. Tried to lower the fan speed no response from the buttons. This is also true for the temp button, off button and power button for radio. Bottom line can't shut anything off. Sure could use some help, thank you.....

Move to Arizona, then it won't be a problem, it will be a 'custom mod'.

Strange as it may sound, one or more of your buttons may be stuck. Something like that happened to me before in another car. It caused everything to go crazy. With your car off, push every button you have a few times with a bit of force, and try your luck again. You never know...

Oh, and WELCOME to NICO my NJ brother.

Welcome to NICO

If that doesn't work try a reboot! Disconnect the battery and reconnect.Let us know if that works?

The AV controls and the A/C or on the same circuit board. Sounds like you may have a failure in there somewhere. You can try a "reboot" as suggested, but I doubt it will help (no hurt in trying of course). You might run through the troubleshooting diagnosis in the FSM if you are mechanically competent (Bearing in mind that removing the center stack in the 03-04 is quite complicated. It requires you to remove quite a bit of the dash on either side of the stack to get to things (trusty me, I've done it once). Add to that the bexel is painted and very easy to scratch. If this sounds too risky, you might try taking it to the dealer.

Thank you so much for your reply to my post. Today I had a new battery installed to replace the new car battery which is 5 years old. The rebooting seemed to work but only for a very few minutes. The control buttons again were unresponsive. So it appears the dealer is my only recourse. Would you possibly know approximately how much the dealer would charge to replace this circuit board? Removing a good deal of the dash sounds like I'll need a bank loan. Thank you again for your help.

To be honest, I don't know. I tried looking up the part, but can't seem to locate it in the parts database. You might call and ask the dealer so you have some idea before you go dropping it off.

If you're outside the factory warranty, try these guys. They're a NICO sponsor, and have done a ton of the 03-04 AC/radio problems.
