yes you can peel it off. and then use some adhesive remover to take off the rest of the "sticky" like goo gone.

some other members might say to use something else...cuz goo gone might mess up the clear coat or something. i haven't had any problems. hope that helps.

others might tell you to use the "SEARCH" button.

and welcome to the club, you'll find a lot of useful info here

Peel it right off!

Please, in the future try to make a more descriptive thread title. This will help you with an answer and also for those that search for the same topic in the future. I changed it a little for you!

I will continue to strongly caution against this. Aggressive solvents can easily damage your clearcoat. I wouldn't let that crap near my car, but you all can do what you want with yours.

Peel them off slowly. The less glue you leave behind, the happier you'll be.

I went to AutoZone to pick up some adhesive remover, and found some that, if memory serves, said it was paint-friendly. With extreme caution, I lightly used a credit card to help it along, 'cause the rag alone wasn't cutting it.

To make myself feel better about it, though, I waxed the car after. Speaking of... weather's nice. Getting to be that time again. Probably do it before the NYC meet.

i just took those stickers off my coupe. looks so much better now. was a pain to get the rest of that residue off, but i finally got it. went to autozone and got this window sticker/bumper sticker remover. worked like a charm. but involves a lot of arm work when using the paper towel to scrub it off

I hear what you are saying, but that was honestly the only thing that I could get that damn residue off with. I waxed right after for good measure, and it looks great

As I said, I wouldn't use it on my car, but you all can do whatever you please. Just know that goo gone *will* haze the clear if you leave it on there long enough. Metallic colors (like your car's, John) will not have it as visibly. I would highly recommend avoiding this at all costs on a straight shade black car. There are worse solvents for a car's clearcoat, but goo gone is still not on my list of friendlies.

Like stated above, if you're going to try to use some of these solvents, have soapy water handy. Rinse VERY frequently and be sure to dry thoroughly immediately after you finish. I just don't want to see a bunch of damaged cars out there.
