is it an AFC or an SAFC? there is a decel correction map on the SAFC to handle an open atmosphere blow off. It sounds like you have a bigger problem though. Check and see if you have a dead cylinder, sputtering and surging is't the BOV is an engine that isn't running right.

You don't think you have a boost leak in you intake piping somewhere?

I have and AFC-2 with a DSM BOV, its just tuned for so it doesnt run rich when it blows off when im coming to a light.

Check for air leaks. If thats straight, then try new plugs.

you need to check the basics, all plugs firing?all injectors working?Any loose hoses?AFM wiring secure and meter functioning right? Are the SAFC wires loose?

You need to buy a timing light if you are going to be doing work on the engine yourself, it's basic and neccesary.

I think you have a boost leak or you intake pipe is letting unmeterd air in. I REALLEY think you have a boost leak though. Go to home depot and buy you a PVC pipe end cap thats the same size as you IC piping so you can insert it in there after making sure it fits tight pull it off drill and tap a whole for a nippe and put a peice of tubing in there. After its made pull the hot pipe off right at the turbo, insert it then put a air comppresor nozzle (the thin one you use to blow stuff off, like when you clean) on the piping then blow about 20 psi of pressure through it and listen for leaks.

pulled coil out, put a screwdriver in it, put it close to a ground near by and saw that it gave no spark when cranking over, checked all the rest and all 3 had real strong spark!

You can get one from a junkyard, The Pulsars are the same. Should be easy to find.

have you tried to pull the red rubber boot off the coil to see if it still has the contact pellet stilll attached to the spring? it maybe just missing the spring and the contact point.... i know on mine i streched the spring a lil to make sure it was pushing that pellet thing onto the plug tops securely.

Hey Fla S13, what did you do for seat brackets on those DAD seats? How do you like them?

Also, what made you want to get Buzz spec struts? Curious b/c that's what I'm using and hardly anyone even knows what they are!

ok it still runs like crap, put the new coil in and its sounds better like its actully runnin on all cylinders, its sounds good when out of gear but when in gear and on throttle it sounds like crap . so ive came to the conclusion that i have boost leak somewhere, i think its at the bov flange.

I have a set of ebay seats I made brackets for... when I take the passenger seat out to cut it I'll take pictures for ya:) I had my girlfriend's dad help me weld some pretty sweet brackets for the universal sliders that came with the seats. They curve all funky, but basically put the seat on the floor and use the stock mounting holes.

I also took apart the driver seat last week and cut 2 inches of padding out of the bottom to allow me even more headroom (I had to wear a helmet for d-day :pface) I'll be doing it to the passenger seat here soon...

So Sean, how low did the seats sit before you removed the padding (higher or lower than stock)?

Thanks for the heads up Dj.

nice thing about corbeau seats is that corbeau makes s13 slider rails for them, so it took me all of 5 minutes to take out the old seat, vacuum the carpet, put in the rail and make myself a sandwich.

Yeah, but the driver seat sits higher than the stock seat right? I've never been able to get a good answer about that, so correct me if I'm wrong.

yes, it does sit higher IF you are a short person. the rail was designed at an angle and seems to accomodate larger drivers. the farther the seat is back, the more headroom you have. i sit closer to the wheel at 5' 10" than my dad at 6' 4". my dad would have no problem wearing a helmet in my car but i would have to either move the seat back a little bit or take out the seat cushion (its removable). not quite sure why it was designed like that but there you have it.

It's b/c of the hump on the floor...screws everything up. I'm just shy of 6', but I prefer to sit 'close' to the wheel (not like an old lay though).

before I cut them they were higher than stock... that hump is annoying:mad: if it wasn't for that I could have put them directly on the floor rather than curve the bracket all funky to go around the hump. Oh well, after the cut they are alot lower than stock... I actually think I removed closer to 3 inches of padding:pface

not too bad sean.

yeah, i prefer to sit closer to the steering wheel too, so if i were to sit 'normally' for someone of my height i dont think i would have a problem with a helmet.

well, have you checked your clutch? what about any and all wiring that would be associated with it? i know it has that little "winthout clutch in cannot start" switch, but i doubt that that would be causing that problem. i honestly dont know what to make of it.
