No i haven't why?Is it on my other topic?maxnix wrote:Have you read Rsiwicki's posts?
Assume the car is in tip top shape?
I really rather not maybe junk yard manifolds might help? Ima have to go ninja and get them at nightppastos wrote:Just take the exhaust manifold off you car and measure them.
What you mean?Im confused but i kinda get what you meant.Well I have ROP auto shop my teacher said best thing to do is open up the silver cover and see what is in there.I wanted to make some and power coat them. Not for power just sound and personal preference you know? Well check out my new thread soon as i made plans look at what had happened.Q45denver wrote:You already sort of have headers. Look at your stainless steel exhaust manifold/headers.
Well we'll see how it comes out.I mean it's still planning until i get right specs sizes etc.It is best but the headers were being built for free by me and my friend that knows welding. For now it'll have to wait a minute.Q45denver wrote:They are like "short" headers. Not much additional HP available at top end and you will likely lose torque at bottom end.
Ouch on the other thread. Always good idea to fix known problems first before doing any mods.
I want a front turbo system not a rear. rear mount seems too much.Plus i need it for daily driving not just weekends.Right now im just looking foward into drawing it out and stuff. After i get the right information.I'm still looking for a rear sway bar though never got a chance to get one.sijoko wrote:Here's my advice:
First, get your car in good mechanical shape. Don't know if it needs it or not.
Second, save your money and build a turbo system for it.
After all the money and time you spend on headers, you could have built a decent rear mount setup like QSIGUY. If you want to go hardcore, then you can do a front mount like me for a bit more money.
Either way, a turbo is the best bang for the buck. If I could go back in time, I would have built my turbo system first.
I dunno i lost them.Thats why if i plan the headers it'd take me a long time until i get them on so basically my car would be running fine by then. The transmission i noticed the slipping recently.Trans is good just slips 3rd and down shifts hard. The lefter i have to add that engine cleaner thing i forgot the brand.I should've fixed the exterior first then the engine hahaha........but ethier way now im like negative 300-500 into my project and plans.lasoyafan wrote:tsk tsk where are your priorities! I made 100% sure all my preventive maintainence was done before I touched anything else on my car
Not when you have dents and a flying hood. I'll keep that in mind i appricate all the help i finally get i bet that one guy would probably say just get rid of it you dont deserve it. I'd slap him silly.Thanksppastos wrote:Fix things in this order:
Engine
transmission
Differntial
Driveshaft
Interior
Then Exterior
Because a Q45 will always look good to me.
If i was rich i'd have a newer one.my cousin said sell it that cars bad luck.i said if i would've replaced it before when i told my dad to we would've been fine.i'm still having trouble getting hired so irratating.and im poor lol since we bought the 07 yukon when it cam eoutppastos wrote:Yea safety comes first.
But for the rich: Well just take it to the dealer and make sure everthing is in tip top shape because your rich you have no excuse.
For the Poor: You need to really love this car and devote a lot of time.
But see i'd be rich!!!ppastos wrote:From What I hear there just more tech and luxury oriented than powerfull plus not Posi.
VH45DE: underrated HP/Torque
VK45DE: overrated HP/Torque
Plus whats a Rear wheel drive car without posi.
And trust me your Q45 is eaiser to work on just scarry at first.
The new one, Well sell your tools and give your money to the dealer because that where YOU HAVE TO GO TO HAVE IT SERVICED.
But they are what the G50 is meant to be in terms of performance.lasoyafan wrote:the 89-93 Q looks like *** anyway get a new one
Most people spend time looking at the front and just keep looking im like if its so ugly why you looking hahaha..........nah most say the car looks dopeppastos wrote:

Plus people who think my car the front of my car is ugly spend most of there time looking at the back of it.
Lol i have traction control so what you suggest turbo?ppastos wrote:Differnce between Turbo and N/A:
With a turbo you have to contol you self and keep it under the speed limit and not burn everone at the stoplights
N/A: The same as the above but with less top end power.
And with Traction Control, Well it holds down the car vey well. hope yours has it I know I am glad I do. BUT I wasnt when removing the throttle I was so crazy I though about just geting a non-TCS throttle and thowing that on there.
If you haven't already, read this thread to give you some idea what's involved in the turbo install. zerothread?id=331064unknown007 wrote:Lol i have traction control so what you suggest turbo? Like to do a legit daily drivable turbo i mean would it be alot? then n/a just need money and tons of time
Doesn't my 93 start on 1st?i always feel all four shifts. The nico ecu i have to wait on that. The headers are just something to do in class thats why.Now that i cant drive until i buy a new hood and windshield.goody94q45 wrote:

I'd suggest that a NICO ECU ($250) and a 1st gear start TCU ($75) would be a good start to getting more acceleration out of your Q. A lot cheaper than a turbo.
Well i think N/A for now would be cheaper and daily wouldn't it?a turbo was last thing on my mind.I really just want a roaring car but at a affordable price.ppastos wrote:Well Yo have to know what you getting your self into because A turbo cost some where around $3000 when its all said and done read dome topics by "qisguy".
But that same $3000 could go to previous owner deffered mataince unless your Q was owned by a person that was on NICO.
Plus I don't know for sure if a Turbo would work with TCS..
