Hey Guys,

I'm new to this site, and need feedback...I purchased a 2008 G35S last Friday and this morning (5 days later) after arriving at my place of employment, I turned the engine off, AND to my surprise what appeared like the steam from a pot of boiling water was rising from the front grill. It was raining very hard and very humid this morning, BUT this seems so abnormal. I took the car to my dealer and they stated that nothing was wrong...fluids were intact, no unusual odours, and NO WARNING signals...though it has not recurred, I am concerned! Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Welcome to NICO SirLennox and Congrats on the new G35!

I think that what you are experiencing was water on the radiator evaporating from the heat, although the radiator temperature should not exceed the boiling point of water. If it only happened that one time and you have received the thumbs up from the dealer you should be pretty much good to go. I have yet to see this complaint but if all the fluids under the hood are good then there is no evidence of a leak I would not worry about it too much.

Steve,

Thanks for the information, I truly appreciate it, I pray that was the issue.

I would just sit back and enjoy the ride, you have a bunch of warranty and road side assistance and trip interuption in the unlikely event that anything does in fact happen.

Fear not! I had the same scare when i first got my 2007. None of my other three G's did this, just the 07. If you live where it snows, you'll think you have a broken radiator hose. It's nothing but steam off the radiator.

My friend's 07 3.5 altima does the same after going through a car wash. Nothing to worry about.
